DinoLand U.S.A. was one of the original themed lands at Disney's Animal Kingdom, combining prehistoric dinosaurs with the atmosphere of a quirky American roadside attraction. The land featured a mixture of large scale rides, carnival style attractions and detailed backstory elements centred around the fictional Dino Institute. Guests could experience major attractions such as DINOSAUR alongside smaller family rides and games spread throughout the colourful area. DinoLand U.S.A. stood out from the rest of the park thanks to its intentionally chaotic design, oversized dinosaur figures and playful carnival aesthetic. Although opinions on the land were often mixed, it remained a nostalgic and memorable part of Disney’s Animal Kingdom for many guests before redevelopment plans were announced.
