Alton Towers Reveals Walk Through Attraction Plans for X Sector

Plans have been published for a proposed walk through attraction building at Alton Towers. Set within X Sector on the former sites of Submission and Enterprise, the structure is described as having industrial themed finishes, which immediately sparks speculation about its purpose.

One of the biggest questions is whether this could be linked to Scarefest. The style certainly lends itself to a horror experience, and it would not be surprising if this became a new maze for Scarefest 2026. Equally, it may be a longer term project aimed at 2027 or beyond, especially if the resort is planning something more permanent rather than a seasonal overlay.

While many would have preferred to see a new ride in this space, it is still encouraging to see the area being developed again. X Sector has felt underused since the removal of its former attractions, so bringing new life to it, even in the form of a walk through experience, is a positive step forward.
