Blackpool Pleasure Beach Journey to Hell 2026 Three New Scare Mazes
Pleasure Beach Resort in Blackpool has revealed major changes to its annual Halloween event, Journey to Hell, for 2026, including three brand new scare mazes, extended opening hours, more rides available after dark and new ticket options.
Running on selected dates from 17th to 31st October 2026, this year's event promises its biggest shake-up yet, with one of the new scare mazes taking inspiration from the park's latest attraction, Aviktas.
Three Brand New Scare Mazes
Journey to Hell 2026 introduces three new scare mazes, each offering a different horror experience.
Eternal Abyss
Inspired by Pleasure Beach's newest ride, Aviktas, Eternal Abyss takes guests deep into the lost temple of Angkor Wat.
Located within the park's 100-year-old network of tunnels, once used to travel between rides, the maze follows an explorer who recruits guests for a mysterious mission. However, as they venture further into the ancient temple, terrifying secrets begin to emerge from within its walls.
The Veil
The Veil takes guests inside the eerie remains of a house filled with grief and a disturbing past.
A chilling presence still lingers within the building, where visitors will discover a terrifying connection between the living and the dead. Expect a supernatural experience as the house's dark secrets are gradually revealed.
Deadline
Welcome to a company where every complaint has a permanent solution and nobody ever clocks out!
Deadline invites guests to explore a nightmarish workplace filled with psychological horror. As visitors make their way through its unsettling corridors, they will discover the terrifying reality behind the company's unusual approach to customer satisfaction.
Returning Halloween Attractions
Alongside the three new mazes, Journey to Hell will bring back several horror-themed experiences based on some of Pleasure Beach's most iconic attractions.
Down the Rabbit Hole returns with a sinister twist on the classic Alice in Wonderland ride, while The Ghost Train: Vault of Shadows transforms the historic Ghost Train into an even more frightening experience.
Both attractions feature twisted characters lurking in the darkness, waiting to terrify unsuspecting riders.
Guests with tickets including all three new scare mazes can also experience ICON: Into the Void, where riders take on the park's double-launch rollercoaster while blindfolded, removing their sense of sight for an unusual and thrilling experience.
Extended Opening Hours and More Night Rides
One of the biggest changes for Journey to Hell 2026 is the introduction of an extended day and night event, with the park opening from 10am until 9pm.
During the day, visitors can enjoy the park's usual rides and attractions alongside Halloween entertainment, including a new family-friendly scare zone called Witch Way Out.
From 6pm, the South area of the park will close, while the North area transforms into the main Halloween event, with scare zones, roaming characters and the three new mazes coming to life.
The park has also expanded its evening ride line-up, allowing guests to experience several attractions in the darkness.
Rides available during the evening include Aviktas, ICON, Launch Pad, Infusion, Avalanche, Derby Racer and Flying Machines.
New Ticket Options for 2026
Pleasure Beach has introduced more flexible ticket options for Journey to Hell 2026, with visitors no longer needing separate evening admission.
Full-day tickets, including access to all three scare mazes, start from £57, while evening tickets from 6pm, also including all three mazes, start from £50.
Visitors who just want to enjoy the rides and Halloween atmosphere can purchase a full-day ticket without scare maze access from £33.
Individual scare maze tickets are also available alongside standard park admission, costing £15 for one maze, £25 for two mazes or £30 for all three.
