Chessington Minecraft World 2027 – Outdoor Track Complete and Glass Installed

Big progress has been made on Chessington’s new Minecraft rollercoaster and themed area, which is set to open in 2027! Since our last visit almost a month ago, the main building has had its glass installed, making it watertight and ready for the winter months.

Meanwhile, the outdoor section of the rollercoaster has seen some incredible progress, with the red track and green supports now installed. The scale of this outdoor section is seriously impressive! It’s absolutely huge, and seeing the track structure coming together really gives us an idea of just how big this new attraction is going to be.

We also now know the official name of the rollercoaster, Escape the Nether, which makes our earlier theory about the red track representing Redstone seem even more likely! One of the things we’re most excited to see is the huge theming element planned for the middle of the outdoor track structure. With the scale of the coaster already looking so impressive, we can't wait to see how it all comes together.

There's still plenty of work to be done, but we're really looking forward to following the construction over the next few months as Minecraft World takes shape ahead of its 2027 opening!
