Fright Nights 2026 Rumours: Construction Begins and Returning Mazes Teased

Fright Nights 2026 is now just over two months away, and excitement is already beginning to build. Tickets for this year’s event go on sale on Monday, 3 August, but it appears that preparations inside Thorpe Park may already be underway.

No official attraction line-up has been announced yet, so everything below remains speculation based on activity around the park, recently installed signage and rumours we have heard.

A New Stage at Launch Pad

The stage previously located in the Dock Yard, next to Ghost Train, is currently being rebuilt at Launch Pad. To make room, the large digital display screen has been pushed further back within the area.

The stage is expected to be used during Thorpe Lates in August, but its new location could also play an important role during Fright Nights. Could this become the new home of Lucifer’s Lair or another large-scale entertainment experience?

Moving entertainment away from the Dock Yard would also create a considerable amount of space beside Ghost Train, potentially allowing the area to be used for something completely different.

Are Trailers and DeadBeat Returning?

Two signs have recently been installed outside the former entrances to Trailers and DeadBeat, strongly suggesting that both attractions could return for Fright Nights 2026.

This is not official confirmation, but it would seem unusual for the park to install new signage outside both locations if the attractions were not preparing to reopen.

Our current prediction is that the majority of last year’s maze line-up will return alongside one completely new attraction. We have also heard that Survival Games could undergo further changes for 2026, continuing the attraction’s evolution from previous years.

Where Could the New Maze Be Located?

The biggest question is where Thorpe Park could place a brand-new maze.

Our prediction is that it could be installed along the former Saw Alive pathway. If The Crows return, they would likely need to be relocated to make room for the entrance and queue.

One possible new home for The Crows could be beneath the Nemesis Inferno lift hill, in the area previously occupied by Death’s Doors. Alternatively, if Lucifer’s Lair moves to Launch Pad, the Dock Yard would have plenty of space available for another scare zone or roaming characters.

We do not currently believe the former Rumba Rapids area will be used for a Fright Nights attraction. However, if The Crows are moved, the old Saw Alive queue line and plaza could provide enough room for a large marquee containing a completely new maze.

Creature Campus Could Become Bigger

We would be very surprised if Creature Campus did not return for Fright Nights 2026.

The attraction has become an increasingly important part of the event, but this year could introduce a bigger and bolder storyline, additional dancers and a mixture of new and returning characters.

With the event celebrating 25 years of fear, Creature Campus could also provide the perfect opportunity to bring back characters from Fright Nights’ past.

Could Trailers or Stitches Receive Changes?

We do not expect Trailers to receive another completely new room for 2026. However, we would love to see the original pre-show return after it was removed for the 2025 event.

The pre-show helped establish the storyline before guests entered the maze, and its absence was one of the biggest losses from last year’s version of the attraction.

Stitches could also receive some changes to celebrate the anniversary. A new ending, updated scenes or an additional pre-show could help refresh the maze while keeping its existing concept and characters.

Celebrating 25 Years of Fear

Fright Nights 2026 will celebrate 25 years of fear at Thorpe Park, so we have a feeling this could be one of the event’s biggest years yet.

Previous characters, storylines and references could return throughout the park, while familiar attractions may receive anniversary changes. A completely new maze would also give the event something fresh alongside its returning favourites.

With RWS Global involved in this year’s event, we expect to see several changes across the entertainment, scare zones and wider production.

The official line-up has not yet been announced, but preparations appear to be gathering pace. With tickets going on sale in just a few days, we may not have much longer to wait before the first attractions are confirmed.
