Hyperia Splash Effect Works Resume at Thorpe Park

Work on the Hyperia splashdown effect looks to have started again, with all of the covers over the feature now removed. It also sounds like efforts to fix it once and for all may be underway, in the hope that it can finally be made reliable without impacting the ride experience.

This year there have also been team changes at Thorpe Park, with a different department now responsible for ride special effects. Across the park, we’ve already seen effects return that haven’t been working for a long time, so there is some optimism that improvements could continue.
