Is The World of David Walliams Leaving Alton Towers?

The World of David Walliams at Alton Towers has started to look noticeably tired in places, and rumours continue to suggest that the rides and potentially the entire area could be removed or changed after the 2026 theme park season.

Speculation has only increased following the area being closed on some quieter weekdays during September, alongside the recent changes surrounding David Walliams and his publisher. Nothing has been officially confirmed by Alton Towers, so for now the future of the area remains uncertain.

Could we simply see the David Walliams branding and references removed for 2027 while the existing rides remain? Could the area close completely, or — perhaps the most exciting possibility — could Alton Towers give this part of the park a completely new theme?
