Paultons Park Reveals Plans for New £20 Million Holiday Village
Paultons Park has revealed exciting plans for a brand-new £20 million holiday village, which could transform the Hampshire theme park into a fully fledged holiday resort!
The proposed development would introduce a range of unique accommodation, including woodland lodges, treehouses, lakeside cabins and even grass-covered lodges built into landscaped mounds!
The holiday village would be located within Paultons Park's existing land, with a dedicated entrance allowing guests to walk directly into the theme park. This would be a huge step forward for the resort, giving families the opportunity to turn their visit into a short break.
Six Unique Accommodation Styles!
One of the most exciting parts of the plans is the variety of accommodation on offer. Rather than building a traditional hotel, Paultons Park is looking to create a beautiful woodland retreat featuring six different styles of accommodation.
These include lakeside lodges overlooking a central lake, Scandinavian-inspired A-frame cabins, elevated treehouses, riverside lodges and Parkside Suites located closer to the theme park.
Perhaps the most unusual are the proposed Burrowed Lodges, featuring curved designs and grass-covered roofs that blend into the surrounding landscape!
The entire holiday village would be surrounded by woodland, landscaped gardens and natural spaces, creating a peaceful setting just moments away from the excitement of the theme park.
Restaurants, Entertainment and More!
The new holiday village wouldn't just be somewhere to sleep! Plans also include a central village square packed with facilities for families to enjoy.
A Welcome Building would feature guest check-in, a restaurant, bar and shop, while the surrounding village square would offer interactive water fountains, outdoor play areas, entertainment spaces and an indoor games room.
There would also be additional accommodation overlooking the village square, creating a lively central hub for guests to explore.
The village itself would be largely car-free, with guests parking in a dedicated car park before making their way to their accommodation on foot or using electric luggage buggies.
A Holiday Village Surrounded by Nature
Paultons Park is aiming to make the new development feel like a natural extension of its woodland surroundings.
The proposals include additional tree planting, wildflower meadows, wildlife habitats and landscaped areas throughout the village.
A central lake would become one of the main features of the resort, with accommodation positioned around the water and surrounding woodland.
Accessibility is also being considered, with plans for step-free pathways, accessible lodges and accommodation featuring roll-in wet rooms.
When Could Paultons Park's Holiday Village Open?
The proposed £20 million development is currently in the consultation stage, with construction potentially taking place across five phases and completion targeted for 2030.
Planning permission would still need to be secured before construction could begin, so the designs and details may change.
This would be another huge investment for Paultons Park, following the opening of Valgård: Realm of the Vikings in 2026 and the upcoming Serpent's Curse water coaster in 2027.
With the park continuing to expand its attraction line-up, the addition of on-site accommodation could make Paultons Park a fantastic destination for families wanting to spend several days exploring everything the resort has to offer.
Have Your Say!
Paultons Park has launched a public consultation, giving visitors and local residents the opportunity to explore the plans and share their feedback.
The consultation is open until 25th October 2026, with the proposed masterplan and accommodation designs available to view online.
