River Caves Remains Closed July 2026
River Caves at Blackpool Pleasure Beach remains closed, although work appears to be underway to reseal the ride’s trough.
Six test patches have been applied to the floor, with notes underneath each one to identify which material performs best. One of the markings appears to read “GRP”, which could refer to glass-reinforced plastic.
River Caves has long been a much-loved part of the park’s line-up and is greatly missed. In recent years, part of the attraction has also been used as a scare attraction during the Halloween season.
