Silver Lake City Expands at Europa-Park Resort for 2026
Europa-Park Resort has expanded Silver Lake City for the 2026 season, transforming the former Camp Resort into a larger Western-themed destination with new accommodation, restaurants, entertainment and leisure facilities.
Located just a short distance from Europa-Park, Silver Lake City combines an authentic Wild West atmosphere with nature-based accommodation. Wooden façades, campfires, a lake and the surrounding nature reserve help create a year-round destination for families, groups and outdoor enthusiasts.
Riverside Western Lodge Opens
The biggest addition is the new Riverside Western Lodge, which opened in June 2026.
The lodge features 119 rooms and a total of 532 beds, significantly increasing the amount of accommodation available at Silver Lake City. Its interiors continue the resort’s American Western theme, with wooden details, warm colours and carefully selected decorations creating a rustic but comfortable atmosphere.
Tipis, Covered Wagons and Western Houses
Silver Lake City continues to offer several more unusual ways to stay overnight.
Guests can choose from 25 tipi tents sleeping between four and twelve people, authentic covered wagons for four guests and six rustic log cabins containing a total of 26 rooms. The cabins can accommodate groups of four, six, twelve or up to sixteen people, while a Western-themed honeymoon suite is also available.
There are also 36 Western Houses, each with a private bathroom and space for up to six guests.
Camping and caravanning remain an important part of the resort. Visitors can stay on traditional tent pitches or choose from 219 caravan pitches with water and electricity connections. New sanitary facilities have also been introduced within the caravanning area.
New Restaurants, Bars and Western Dining
The Diner Station forms the culinary centrepiece of Silver Lake City. Designed to resemble a historic railway station, the buffet restaurant includes authentic train carriages with seating inside.
Breakfast is served in the morning, followed by an evening buffet featuring American dishes, salads, meat dishes and desserts. The restaurant has space for 275 guests indoors, with approximately 200 additional seats across its outdoor terraces.
The Wild Horse Bar offers a traditional saloon atmosphere, serving beer, cocktails and selected spirits. It has space for 120 guests and provides somewhere to relax after a day at Europa-Park or Rulantica.
Visitors looking for a larger meal can head to the Silver Lake Saloon for Texas-style burgers, steaks and spare ribs. The restaurant seats 210 guests across its main hall, upper gallery and lakeside terrace. The building also contains a bar and stage for live performances.
Other options include the Cantina Amigo self-service restaurant, Grandpa Will’s Hot Dogs and Cold Rush Western Ice Creams.
Silver Lake Brewery
Silver Lake City now has its own brewery, producing a naturally cloudy beer known as Silver Lake Brew.
Guests can watch the brewing process from a dedicated tasting room overlooking the brewery, bringing another authentic experience to the Western town.
Mini Golf, Virtual Reality and Entertainment
The expanded leisure offering includes Gold Rush Golf, a twelve-hole mini golf course surrounded by cacti and desert-inspired scenery.
Younger visitors can explore a locomotive-shaped adventure playground, while bull riding, musicians, performers and walking acts provide further entertainment around the resort.
A new YULLBE GO venue has also opened, bringing interactive virtual reality experiences to Silver Lake City. The new Wild West Store is open 24 hours a day, allowing overnight guests to purchase essentials throughout their stay.
Children’s House Little Heroes
The Europa-Park Children’s House Little Heroes is scheduled to open in July 2026.
Created alongside the RTL – Wir helfen Kindern foundation, the German Children’s Cancer Foundation and the Stelzenmännchen association, the project will provide free holidays for families with children who have survived cancer.
Five spacious apartments will allow families to stay in a Western-themed setting and enjoy visits to Europa-Park, Rulantica and other nearby attractions. Miriam Mack is serving as the project’s ambassador, while musician DJ BoBo is its patron.
From Campsite to Western Resort
Silver Lake City began as a caravan and campsite close to Europa-Park in 1998.
Over the years, the addition of tipis, covered wagons, cabins, Western Houses, restaurants and entertainment has transformed the site into a complete themed resort. Its latest expansion represents the next stage of that development, combining the freedom of an outdoor holiday with the facilities of a modern resort.
