Work has begun on Europa-Park’s next major rollercoaster project! The old staff canteen has now been demolished, with its replacement already open elsewhere, while foundation work has started for a new building and structure in the area.
It’s not yet clear exactly what this construction will become, but it’s expected to form part of the new themed area, the rollercoaster itself or supporting buildings.
Euro-Mir is set to close on 9th January 2027, with the ride’s towers and existing structure due to be completely removed, effectively creating a blank slate for its replacement.
There are currently no public plans showing exactly what the new rollercoaster will look like, although it is rumoured to open in 2028.
Stay tuned as construction continues!
