Launch Pad Nears Opening at Thorpe Park
Saturday 9th May 2026
Work on Launch Pad at Thorpe Park continues to progress well, with the resin flooring now appearing to be complete across the area ahead of the attraction opening soon. A large TV screen mounted on the back of a flatbed truck has also been installed in a gap between the fencing at the end of the site. This could potentially be swapped out for a stage later in the year for Fright Nights.

The food booths along the side of the area also still appear to be under construction as work continues around the site.

Over on the smaller section of the beach that remains, the slide has now been repainted and the beach itself is being filled up ready for guests to use again soon.

Work on the Launch Pad at Thorpe Park is coming along nicely. More of the resin flooring has been installed, with the blue sections now appearing complete and work beginning on the red areas. Railings have been added along the stairs, and benches are starting to be put in place around the area. It’s exciting to see everything taking shape and we can’t wait to see the finished result!

Wednesday 15th April 2026
New markings for the resin flooring at Launch Pad in Thorpe Park have now started to be sketched out, giving guests an early look at the layout for the refreshed area. It should not be long before the colourful new flooring begins to be installed as work continues to move forward at a steady pace.

Launch Pad Update: Tarmac, Lighting and Planting Installed
Monday 6th April 2026
There has been huge progress on Launch Pad at Thorpe Park since our last look at the project. Tarmac flooring has now been poured and installed across the site, with rocks and planting beginning to be added around the area. The rocks look like they may be the same ones that were previously used around Logger’s Leap and Canada Creek. A delivery of benches has arrived, and the first of several lighting poles have also been installed.

The new food units also appear to be progressing well, and the bridge has reopened for guests to walk over and view the development.

However, we don’t believe this tarmac is the final surface, as the drains in the area are not yet level with the surrounding ground. Because of this, we’re expecting a resin floor to be poured closer to completion.
