Thorpe Park Beach Update Potential Changes with Project Pivot
Tuesday 18th March 2025
There’s been some buzz around Thorpe Park regarding a potential redevelopment of the beach area, codenamed Project Pivot. While still awaiting official approval, the plan involves removing the larger side of the beach to make room for a stage and new food stands, which would provide visitors with more entertainment and dining options. As a result, the smaller side of the beach is expected to reopen.
This summer, Thorpe Park has been making some early improvements in preparation, with the pool on the smaller beach getting a fresh coat of paint and the surrounding rocks being refurbished. Meanwhile, work is also underway on the larger side, where pumps are being rerouted as part of the planned changes.
Additionally, new fences have been installed around the bridge that crosses over the beach, and there are ongoing efforts to brick up the tunnel underneath.
While Project Pivot is still in the proposal stage, it’s clear that Thorpe Park is already taking steps to refresh and improve the beach area in anticipation of what could be a major upgrade. Keep an eye out for updates as the park moves forward with these changes, and stay tuned for more information once the project gets the green light!
