Christmas at Alton Towers 2026: Rides, Santa Sleepovers and Festive Fun!

Christmas at Alton Towers returns for 2026, bringing festive entertainment, magical Santa Sleepovers and a selection of family rides and attractions remaining open throughout winter.

The Christmas event runs on selected dates from 27th November to 23rd December 2026, with Festive Breaks continuing from 27th December 2026 to 2nd January 2027.

Meet Father Christmas

Families can enjoy a magical visit to Santa's Grotto in Mistletoe Lane as part of the resort's Santa Sleepover experience.

Children can meet Father Christmas, share their Christmas wishes and receive a special gift, surrounded by festive decorations.

Santa Sleepovers also include an overnight stay in one of Alton Towers' themed hotels, Theme Park entry, a festive evening meal, live entertainment, a Christmas pantomime, Waterpark access, Extraordinary Golf and breakfast.

Santa Sleepovers start from £96 per person, with the Father Christmas experience included in the package.

Which Rides Are Open?

Alton Towers will once again open a selection of family rides and attractions during the Christmas season, including attractions within CBeebies Land.

Unlike the main theme park season, the resort's biggest thrill rides will be closed for winter, with the Christmas offering focusing on family-friendly experiences.

Festive Entertainment

Guests can enjoy Christmas entertainment throughout the resort, including live shows, festive decorations and a traditional Christmas pantomime.

CBeebies Land will also feature family entertainment and opportunities to meet popular CBeebies characters.

Tickets and Festive Breaks

Alongside Santa Sleepovers from £96 per person, Alton Towers is offering post-Christmas Festive Breaks from £78 per person.

These include a themed hotel stay, selected Theme Park rides and attractions, festive entertainment, breakfast, Waterpark entry and Extraordinary Golf.

With CBeebies Land, festive shows and the chance to meet Father Christmas, Christmas at Alton Towers 2026 offers a family-focused way to enjoy the resort during the winter months.
