Foundations Begin for New LEGOLAND Windsor 2028 Rollercoaster

Groundwork is now underway at LEGOLAND Windsor for what is rumoured to be a new Mack Rides family rollercoaster, potentially themed to NINJAGO!

With the former Vikings' River Splash rapids ride now completely removed, attention has turned to preparing the site for its next attraction. Deep trenches and what appear to be foundation excavations are taking shape close to the Hill Train, with ladders visible inside the excavated areas. With winter approaching, it will be interesting to see how much progress is made over the closed season and when the first concrete foundations are poured.

Interestingly, the large blue backdrop from the former Vikings' River Splash station appears to be staying in place and may even have received a fresh coat of paint. Could this structure be incorporated into the new attraction, or will it eventually be removed as work progresses?

Given the site's location and proximity to several existing attractions, this is going to be a fascinating project to follow as the area transforms. While neither the rollercoaster's theme nor its opening date has been officially confirmed, our current prediction is a 2028 opening.
