Thorpe Park 2024 Rollercoaster Public Consultation Plans Uploaded

The public consultation website for the rollercoaster replacing Old Town is now online! Codenamed Project Exodus this huge new rollercoaster will transform the parks Skyline if permission is granted. Standing at 236 feet tall this rollercoaster is set to be the tallest rollercoaster in the UK, beating Blackpool Pleasure Beach's The Big One by 1 foot.
With the park currently in the consultation phase, not all of the plans have been published and nothing has been finalised just yet. No information about the top speed, manufacture or theme has been confirmed yet but enthusiasts across social media have started to speculate over who they think and want to build the rollercoaster.
Looking at the plans shows off a brief layout of the ride and how steep the lift hill could be. Our favourite part of these plans is the waterside viewing area where are you will be able to get fantastic photos of the ride. It does also look like the ride might feature a splashdown section something similar to Shambhala in Spain.
Looking at the plans, Slammer does appear to still be on the map as staying. However this could all change, we would love to see the old ride removed and replaced with something else new to add to this new area.
No theme can be determined from the plans at this stage, all of the buildings are very basic. However, the queue line and entrance for the rollercoaster will require the Creek Freaks maze / The old Loggers Leap station to be demolished.
Building on what we said about the ride yesterday in our article we believe the ride will have 3/4 inversions. Cleverly using an inversion to twist the train around to go backwards and go around bends at speed.
One of our guesses about the manufacture is that it could be Vekoma, Mack or even an RMC. Looking at the plans of the coaster, when the train leaves the station it takes an outer bank curve similar to Untamed at Walibi Holland. This could just be how the artist has interpreted the bend of the rollercoaster or a clue to one of the elements.
With visitor numbers falling at the park for the past few years, we feel like this rollercoaster is going to put Thorpe Park back on the map. And make the park stand out again.

Thorpe Park Reveal Ideas For Old Town Rollercoaster

Thorpe Park has shown off plans for its new rollercoaster today at the public consultation event. Located in Old Town the new rollercoaster will replace Loggers Leap, Rocky Express and two children's rides.
No photos were allowed during the event but we can reveal some information that was revealed!
The project name appears to be: Project Exodus. A poster in the Fright Nights maze Trailers seems to match this project name.
The ride will have a maximum height of 72 meters / 236 feet. Taller than Stealth. The ride appears to possibly have 2 maybe 3 inversions.
Leaving the station, the ride appears to take an outer bank curve similar to Untamed at Walibi Holland.
The station for the ride will be located where the old train station for Canada Creek Railway currently still stands. With a maintenance shed for it near Burger King. A viewing area for the ride will be located at the exit of the attraction and will look over the lake.
The colour scheme of the ride will try to follow Stealth's to remain as hidden as possible with the higher parts of the ride possibly painted white and the lower sections blue.
Plans will be available from tomorrow as part of the consultation.
This is groundbreaking news from the park and we can’t wait to see the project continue.

Thorpe Park To Launch Public Consultation For New Rollercoaster

Thorpe Park has reached out to local residents with a save the date, advertising a public consultation for a brand new roller coaster!
On the poster, it confirmes the location of the new rollercoaster, located in Old Town. We expect the new ride will see the removal of Loggers Leap and all of the smaller attractions within the area, such as Rocky Express.
The public consultation website is set to go live on December 10th.

Loggers Leap Removal Begins?

During a Behind The Screams backstage tour at Thorpe Park, we noticed something big! A section of Loggers Leap has been removed, along with part of the second lift hill!
After exiting the first drop of Loggers Leap, guests used to wind around a small outside section going under a small waterfall, before crossing the lake to the final lift hill and drop. This section over the past few months has been completely removed, along with lots of trees removed! Over the past few months, it would appear the park has been tree clearing along with some small landscaping works. Comparison photos, from when Platform 15 was first offered as a behind the scenes tour, show how much the area has changed over the years.
Looking towards the second and final lift hill of Loggers Leap, the conveyer belt has been sliced and partially removed along with some of the rollers that help guide the belt and boats up the lift hill. The ride's station is currently being used as the maze Creek Freak Massacre, which transformed the old building into a maze space back in 2019.
With it being the last year of Platform 15, could this all be a sign for future developments? After all the posters in Platform 15 do say "Area Under Development". The same wording was used back in 2016 when the attraction was closed.
