Thorpe Park has released a new selection of pin badges for the 2021 season. This year some of the pin badges are from big year anniversaries for some of the rides such as Depth Charge turning 30 years old, and Detonator and Vortex turning 20 this year.
Today is the first day of the theme park season at Chessington World of Adventures which means new pin badges! Only a few pin badges will be launching at the start of this year we guess in hopes of keeping the pin badge line up fresh each month.
During the 2020 season, Alton Towers decided to close the monorail transport link between the hotels/car park and the park entrance.
Stealth at Thorpe Park has had a section of track repainted during the closed season. Located towards the end of the ride the section of the brake run has been repainted solid blue removing the original colours of the track with the white running wheels section.
The Amity Airstream van is back, welcome to the Thorpe Perk Express! But not where you expect it, the van has been rebranded and is now serving guests food at the entrance to Thorpe Park.
Chessington has given Mexicana a new lease of life, with the whole area being repainted during the closed season and new theming and signs being added to the area. Upon entry into the area, there's no mistaking what part of the theme park your entering.
Thorpe Park has made some modifications to the Stealth baggage system during the closed season, removing the old bag room and replacing it with storage boxes on the platform which can be accessed by both sides.

Launching Friday May 21st 2021, Black Mirror Labyrinth will finally be opening to guests after being delayed due to coronavirus. Over the closed season, Thorpe Park has finished the entrance archway into the queue line and added more signs around the area and on the building.
Croc Drop has officially opened at Chessington World of Adventures, after a snowy start to the morning Sobek managed to melt the snow to drop guests 25.6 meters into the mouth of the crocodile.
