Go Ape Removal Begins at Chessington World of Adventures

Work has begun to remove the former Go Ape course at Chessington World of Adventures.

The treetop adventure course closed at very short notice on 2 November 2025. Its location within the woodland meant that it could operate in most weather conditions, although it never appeared to be particularly busy during our visits, leaving us unsure about how popular the attraction really was.

Removal work only began a few days ago, but ropes and other parts of the course can already be seen being taken down. The most likely explanation is that Chessington wants to prevent people from accessing the abandoned course and potentially injuring themselves. However, its removal could also be an early sign that the park has future development plans for this area.

For now, this is purely speculation, and Chessington has not announced what will happen to the site once the Go Ape course has been fully removed.
