The 2023 theme park season is fastly approaching and it won't be long until the familiar sounds of Chessington will be playing again. However, before the fun can begin again lots of work is going on behind closed doors and some of it is in clear view of guests.

It's the middle of January and work on installing the track for Mandrill Mayhem is still ongoing. Work for the World Of Jumanji is progressing well with the first bits of theming in the rollercoaster station now visible, a huge tree can be seen through the structure.
Chessington World of Adventures Resort has today announced World of Jumanji - set to open in spring at the Surrey Theme Park and Zoo - will include the World’s ONLY Jumanji rollercoaster.

With Thorpe Park doing such a great job at documenting the demolition of Old Town there aren't many changes around the area that we haven't seen on social media from the park's Facebook group.
It's a big day for Project Amazon / World of Jumanji, the trains for the new B&M rollercoaster (rumoured to be named Mandril Mayhem) have been delivered and fitted to the track! Currently sitting on the break run the trains are still covered with black bags.
Thorpe Park has today posted a video and photos showing off work happening to Colossus. It would appear that the ride will be undergoing a major re-tracking for the 2023 theme park season.

The Loggers Leap station and Creek Freak Massacre maze is no more! Work on demolishing the station and queue line has begun, photos shared on Thorpe Park Passholder Group show the roof of the covered queue line being ripped off by a digger.

Even during its closed season, Thorpe Park's The Swarm seems to be basking in a warm embrace of affection from the park's dedicated maintenance team. As the roller coaster takes a brief hiatus from thrilling guests, the attention to detail in its upkeep is nothing short of impressive.
