Chessington World of Adventures has now confirmed their 2018 Theme Park opening times. The park will reopen on Saturday 17th March and will close on Wednesday 31st October.

Alton Towers Steps Up Security
After last year’s events around the world, Merlin Entertainments is taking guest security very serious. Large concrete blocks were put outside the entrance to Legoland Windsor last year along with bag searches implemented at all Merlin Theme Parks in the UK.
New Thorpe Park Season Pass
Pay for a day come for the year… Thorpe Park has followed suit with Alton Towers and will be offering guests the opportunity of buying a Thorpe Park only Annual Pass. At the price of a normal park entry ticket £49 guests can come back for the year.
Alton Towers announce new "Season Pass" for 2018 Season
Alton Towers recently announced a new Season Pass for the 2018 Season, For the price of a standard admission ticket (£55) you can visit for the rest of the 2018 season. Stated in the press release:

Merlin Annual Pass Sale Begins
2018 has begun and so has the Merlin Annual Pass sale, as usual, Merlin has kick-started the year with a sale on its Annual Pass'. Offering discounts on both the Standard and Premium pass this years sale goes on until 12th February 2018.
Monks Walk Christmas Closed Season Update
Christmas is coming to town and closed season work is progressing well across Thorpe Park. Since our last drive down scaffolding has been put up around some sections of Colossus and work on the bridge into the park seems to be progressing.
Hill Train Extensive Maintenance
Christmas at Legoland Windsor is fully underway, however, this year's event is slightly different, due to the hill train undergoing extensive maintenance work guests are walking down the hill to get into the park for the Christmas event.
Thorpe Park IMAscore Music CD
In a bold new move Thorpe Park has become the first park to release their new IMAscore music on a CD for guests to listen to outside of the park. For the past two years the park has teamed up with company IMAscore to recompose and create new tracks around the park.
Nemesis Station TLC Continues
For the past two years the Nemesis station has been repainted and given some extra tlc and it would appear that this year the maintenance and repainting of the station continues.
Monorail Evacuation Platforms Installation
The closed season has begun and work on the monorail at Alton Towers has begun. Last year we reported that work was going on to install a new evacuation platform but it would seem it was later scrapped off and postponed until this years closed season.
