There has been lots of progress at the World of Minecraft construction site at Chessington World of Adventures. The station building structure has now started to be installed, with concrete stairs for guest access into the station now visible on site ready to be fitted into place.
A large metal structure, which appears to be the ride’s load and unload platform, has also now been installed alongside what looks to be a lift shaft to the left of the building. While it is still early days for the project, some major structural elements are already beginning to take shape.
Alongside the station construction, another section of track has now been installed. At the end of what we believe will be the launch section out of the building, a tilted piece of track has appeared. From the angle and height of the section, we believe this could potentially be linked to a special effects scene or even a motion platform element, which could make this another UK first for the attraction.
White protective sheets have also been placed around sections of track and the drive motors while construction continues around the supports and ride area.
