Merlin Entertainments, a world leader in branded entertainment destinations, has announced a new partnership with Paramount to bring PAW Patrol – the number one pre-school brand in the UK and globally, produced by Spin Master Entertainment – to one of its leading UK theme parks in 2026.
The old Mexicana restaurant has been partially demolished, and inside the remaining building, internal walls have now been stripped out. Meanwhile, the buildings in the small zoo area are still standing — but not for much longer, as further demolition work is expected soon.
Work has officially started on the removal of Wild Asia at Chessington World of Adventures. One of the first major changes can be seen at Kobra, where the iconic snake theming is being dismantled.

During the 2024/2025 closed season, one of Chessington’s car parks has undergone significant improvements. Previously a grass field, it has now been tarmacked, with a geo-grid installed to create proper parking spaces.
Work on removing the Mexicana area at Chessington World of Adventures is continuing at a steady pace, with the deconstruction of Scorpion Express still ongoing.
As Wild Asia closes its gates and prepares for transformation, signs of change are already emerging elsewhere in the park. Over at Tiger Rock, a new boat storage system has been installed for the iconic log flume.
