It’s official, Project Pivot is happening. Construction firm Webb has confirmed the development with a LinkedIn update, sharing an image of a digger ready to enter the beach and begin work.

The closed season at Thorpe Park is officially halfway done, and it won’t be long until we’re back riding the attractions once again. Thorpe Park reopens in 76 days, on Friday 27th March 2026, and from what we can see, there is already plenty happening behind the scenes.

Alton Towers’ new rollercoaster for 2026, themed around the popular children’s cartoon Bluey, is shaping up to be an exciting addition to the park.

There’s plenty of work taking place around Chessington during the closed season, and a lot can already be seen from the areas of the park that remain open.

LEGOLAND Windsor is a hive of activity this closed season, with a huge amount of work taking place across the park. While much of this isn’t visible to guests, especially as several rides normally open for Christmas are closed, there’s plenty happening behind the scenes.

The installation of solar panels over the car park at LEGOLAND Windsor is progressing well. All of the support frames are now in place, and foundations for a new electric substation have been installed alongside the road.
