On 17 March 2026, LEGOLAND Windsor celebrates a huge milestone, 30 years since the park first opened its gates in 1996.

For the first weekend of the 2026 season, the Alton Towers Monorail is closed, leaving many guests wondering what’s happening. Observations show the trains sitting idle in the storage yard, and signs have been installed at the stations confirming the closure.

As of March 2026, the Runaway Mine Train at Alton Towers remains closed, with no reopening date currently announced. The train is missing from the track, and some scalding along certain sections is still visible, suggesting that maintenance or refurbishment work is ongoing.

Corkscrew at Alton Towers has received a vibrant new look during the closed season, with a beautiful yellow and green colour scheme. The track has been repainted back to its original bright yellow, while the supports now feature a deep, dark green.

With just two weeks to go until the new Bluey rollercoaster opens at Alton Towers, excitement is really starting to build. On the park’s opening day, the ride was already being tested in front of guests, offering an early glimpse at what’s to come—and it’s looking fantastic so far.

During the closed season, Detonator has received a full repaint, giving the iconic drop tower a fresh new look for the upcoming season. The ride now stands out with a bold, bright red finish, making it more eye-catching than ever on the Thorpe Park skyline.

Zodiac has been a hot topic among guests, especially after spending most of the 2025 season closed. Many have questioned whether the ride would return at all—but there are now strong signs that its comeback could be just around the corner.

Following Thorpe Park’s announcement that Rumba Rapids will be leaving the park, visible signs of its removal have already begun to take shape.

Work on Project Pivot at Thorpe Park is now well underway, bringing major changes to the beach area. The larger section of the beach has already been removed, dramatically opening up the space and making it almost unrecognisable compared to before.

Thorpe Park has officially confirmed that Rumba Rapids will not be returning and has now closed permanently. After weeks of rumours sparked by the ride’s pumps being removed and boats being moved into storage on one of the islands the park today confirmed the news on social media.
