It looks like we might need to wait a few weeks for the Alton Towers Sky Ride at Alton Towers to reopen. Over in Forbidden Valley, the ride’s cables aren’t resting on the wheels of one of the towers, which means they aren’t properly tensioned, preventing the attraction from running.

Rita at Alton Towers has received a new ramp to improve access for guests using wheelchairs. This new ramp replaces the old lift, which was exposed to the elements—so it’s possible that installing the ramp was a more practical and cost-effective solution.

It may still be a few months away, but many of the setups from Scarefest 2025 are still in place at Alton Towers, with very little having changed so far.
