Mardi Gras has begun at Alton Towers Resort! Every day the Resort will be transformed into the biggest street party ever with music, street performers and colour, creating a fantabulous feel-good atmosphere!

Over the closed season, Alton Towers have made some major changes to duels queue line, including the installation of a ramp outside of the front of the building for wheelchairs. But what we couldn't see at the start of the season was the brand new queue line inside the building.
Work is well underway across Alton Towers to get ready for Mardi Gras which begins on 22nd May 2021. Temporary food vans have started to be installed along the pathway opposite the towers ruins and some cool bits of theming have been installed at selected locations across the park.
In 2021, Alton Towers will see a new event come to the resort, Mardi Gras. A carnival-inspired takeover of the resort that runs from 22nd May to 20th June that we are sure will be a whole load of fun. Not much has been known about the event, until now.
