Construction work on Thorpe Park's newest Fright Nights maze has begun! Delivery of materials to the site and the installation of site offices in the old Slammer queue line has marked the beginning of the new maze being built.
A few weeks ago we reported that new wooden posts had been installed in the Saw The Ride queue line. People were left wondering whether they were for new theming or if the park finally added shade to this section of the queue line.
Thorpe Park and Chessington are two of the only Merlin parks that used to have electric car charging points. These have now been upgraded to new car charging systems and their capacity has tripled!
Thorpe Park has begun selling HY-BEER-IA beer. This limited edition beer is limited to 2,000 cans so be quick! These cans of beer can be brought from the Calypso bar next to Fearless Valley.
Calling special beer fans! Thorpe Park has paired up with Windsor & Eton Brewery for a special Hyperia Lager. Similar to the limited edition beers being sold for Nemesis Reborn at Alton Towers earlier this year this one will also be a limited edition brew with 2000 being sold.
Fright Nights 2024 is just around the corner, with this year's event starting on 4th October 2024. Starting in 95 days, it’s time to turn our attention to this year's lineup and what could be returning and being replaced.
News is coming in this morning that Hyperia has valleyed. A video showing the ride rocking back and forwards has been shared on social media along with another statement from Thorpe Park stating the ride will remain closed until further notice.
Last week we reported that Mack Rides and Thorpe Park were working hard behind the scenes to reopen Hyperia. Since then the ride has been testing and today the ride had its first riders since it closed.
Work on repairing Hyperia has begun at Thorpe Park, it appears that the location of the issue with the new Mack Rides rollercoaster has been identified as something at the top of the lift hill.
Thorpe Park has posted on their social media channels this morning stating that due to unforeseen circumstances, Hyperia will not be opening today. Although the ride opened Friday 24th May, the opening didn’t go without a few hiccups.
It's two days until Hyperia opens at Thorpe Park and work is underway to finish off the area.
