After 30 years of being operational at Chessington, Black Buccaneer has dropped its sail for the last time. The ride didn’t actually open for the 2019 theme park season after no work had been done to the ride rumors started to circulate that the ride wouldn’t be returning.
Welcome to Wonder Park! For one day only Chessington has rebranded its self to the new animation film Wonder Park staring Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee.
Work on upgrading the car parks at Chessington continues. We reported back in February that the park had started work on upgrading the grass car park that has caused issues over the past few years.
Some of the goblins previously seen inside the old Hocus Pocus Hall attraction where auctioned off this morning at Chessington. Guests were invited to participate in a silent auction in the center of the park Adventure Point.
Work is continuing around Chessington to prepare the resort for the main theme park season which is due to start on the 10th March 2019.
For the past few years, the Explorer Carpark at Chessington has caused many issues when it rains or the weather has been partially bad. From cars getting stuck and needing to be pulled free by tractors and generally not being the best place to park your car.
Room on the Broom is in the final stages of construction, all bar one signs referencing hocus Hocus Pocus Hall have been removed. The main sign for the attraction has been removed and repainted purple to suit the new colour scheme of Room on the Broom.
Chessington has started to release some of the new pin badges for the 2019 theme park season. This year's collection includes 18 new pin badges with more expected over the next few months. From current attractions to old retired rides there are pin badges to suit everyone this year.
Work is underway at Chessington to prepare the park for the main theme park season which is just around the corner. With selected rides open for Christmas those rides are now undergoing maintenance.
The replacement for Hocus Pocus Hall, Room On The Broom is set to open in 35 days. Work is continuing on the outside of the building with the queue line for the attraction set to be extended around the side of the Burnt Stub Building.
Chessington has announced that the event Animal Adventures will have selected rides open, along with How to be a Zookeeper LIVE! — an interactive show where you’ll learn what it takes to become a Zoo Keeper and meet some of our animals along the way!
