Another week another time checking out the SW8 construction, there has been again, a lot of changes on the site.

There has been a lot going on around Alton Towers, Here is a roundup of all new things that have came to the resort recently. New Bar Opens at Rollercoaster Restaurant:

Alton Towers Scarefest is coming around the corner quickly so construction is well underway for the scare mazes, we reported last week that Terror of the Towers will have a new route due to the way the final corridor has been set up. Nothing else visible has changed since.

It's all changing on the SW8 site at the moment with lots going on up and down the site with lots to see. Although there was no work on site with it being a Sunday there was still lots to see since our last visit last week.

Alton Towers Resort hosted a star studded launch of the brand new CBeebies Land Hotel. Now open, the hotel is uniquely designed for little ones and features themed bedrooms and live entertainment.

With just six sleeps to go until the new Cbeebies Land hotel opens at Alton Towers, we thought we would take a visit and see what it is looking like.

In the last of our daily updates of this week yet more of the lift hill for the ride has been constructed. And the first wooden struts of the first drop have been put into place. More concrete walls have been added to the station building and foundations continue to be poured in the pit.

Scarefest is just around the corner, with no official line up revealed for this years event we can pretty much confirm that terror of the towers will be returning for 2017. The final scene in the maze / the strobe corridor looks to have been being set up over the past few days.

The Sun was shining and construction was in full swing on the wonderful Saturday at Alton Towers. The site has progressed a lot since our absence from the park due to us galavanting around Europe. The theming structure we reported on a few months ago and coming along nicely.

With GCI being on site for the past few weeks it was only time until track work started.

We attended Alton Towers the Sunday just gone and have noticed some small changes to the resort. The Congo River Rapids has had some new CCTV Cameras / Monitors. The cameras have had an upgrade so are much better quality allowing for better observation of the ride area.
