Fright Nights begin in just 10 days time! The park is starting to look ready for what could be the biggest and best year ever.

Rush at Thorpe Park looks to remain closed for the rest of the 2017 theme park season. Although not confirmed by the park yet the maintenance team have started to dismantle the ride ready for its closed season maintenance.

Fright Nights is 18 days away from beginning and work around the park is in full swing to get the everything ready for the event. The old experiment 10 shipping containers have made a return.

Today Thorpe Park Resort announced the theme of this year’s Halloween event Fright Nights. Rumours had been going around for a few weeks that the theme could be Walking Dead and today the park have confirmed it with possibly the best PR stunt.

On the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death, Thorpe Park has paid their respects by moving the plaque in front of the construction walls of loggers leap. Before her death, Princess Diana and her sons rode loggers leap and other rides on park.

With 30 days left until Fright Nights begin there's still a lot left to do until the park is ready. However, with the theme of the event still unknown, everyone is left guessing as to what the maze being built inside the old cabin in the woods space will be.

Fright Nights is coming! And this year promises to be the biggest year ever.

Taking a leaf from Alton Towers’ book, Thorpe Park has made up its own extreme challenge within its app. Starting tomorrow, 22nd July 2017 guests are invited to participate in a challenge to get a free ticket to come back to the park on selected weekdays in September.

New for 2017 Thorpe Park introduced two new kids rides in the Old Town area at the back of the park. Joining the old Rocky Express ride, The Timber Tug Boat and Lumber Jump came second hand from another Merlin park.

Over the past few years we’ve seen the introduction of parking charges at Thorpe Park and other Southern Merlin theme parks. Since our last visit to Thorpe Park, the price of the car park has been increased. From £6 to £7 the price has increased by 16.7%
