Over the past few weeks Thorpe Park have been hard at work removing trees and clearing the site of Miss Hippos Fungle Safari and today we have some photos that show how much the site really has progressed since our last update.
Chessington World of Adventures resort is getting ready to re-launch its popular Halloween event renamed Howl’o’ween. Launching in 16 days’ time the park will play host to 2 horror mazes and 2 new shows, The Hairy and Scary show and Pumpkin High School of Rock.
FRIGHT NIGHT’s begin in just a few days time and the park is almost ready to kick off the event with the Press Night and Merlin Annual pass night being on Thursday 9th October. In todays update we take one last look around the park before visiting the park on the Press Night.
Last week we reported that Thorpe Park had begun work on the old site of Miss Hippo’s Fungle Safari ride with trees being marked up to be cut down and this week we have a small update on the site status. The track is being removed with the concrete base it used to sit on being removed.
With Scarefest due to kick off on the 18th October Alton Towers is hard at work setting up the scare mazes and walkthrough attractions.
FRIGHT NIGHT’s is only 12 days away from the Annual Pass preview night and the park is continuing to get ready for the event. Signs have been added to Studio 13 to the entrance and exit with a banner / sign being built sounding the maze.
Following problems with the ride at the start of the 2014 season Safari Skyway is to be closed for the remainder of the year. The ride hasn't been open for a few weeks with a permanent looking sign put on the gate telling guests that the ride wouldn't be opening today.
For the past few years Miss Hippo’s Fungle Safari has been SBNO (standing but not operating) however it looks like all of that could be changing very soon! The ride was never taken out and the theming for the ride is still in place and can be seen below.
Work for Thorpe Parks biggest event Fright Nights is now well underway with mazes being constructed all over the park.
Starting Friday 24th October 2014 Chessington is launching its rebranded halloween event called “Howl’O’Ween” Previously known as Halloween Hocus Pocus the event will play host to 2 scare mazes and 2 brand new shows for 2014.
LEGOLAND Windsor has announced that LEGO Friends will be a new area for 2015, after there plans to the council to build a haunted house were denied.
