FRIGHT NIGHT’s is only 12 days away from the Annual Pass preview night and the park is continuing to get ready for the event. Signs have been added to Studio 13 to the entrance and exit with a banner / sign being built sounding the maze.
For the past few years Miss Hippo’s Fungle Safari has been SBNO (standing but not operating) however it looks like all of that could be changing very soon! The ride was never taken out and the theming for the ride is still in place and can be seen below.
Work for Thorpe Parks biggest event Fright Nights is now well underway with mazes being constructed all over the park.
Tonight Thorpe Park Resort have launched a brand new micro site for the up and coming Fright Nights event with all the information about this years line up. Replacing The Asylum is Studio 13 a brand new horror maze based on a audition for a new movie called The Motel.
With Fright Nights 2014 not far away the park is hard at work marketing the event with posters being put up all over the park advertising the mazes and sub events such as face it alone and vip tours of the mazes.
Work on Thorpe Park’s next roller coaster / attraction looks set to start soon as work on the island next to The Swarm and behind Stealth looks to have had some work done to it recently. As shown on the map below the island is quite large meaning that this could possibly host a decent length.
The Shark Hotel entrance feature is finally complete and it looks amazing! Full of Thorpe Park history the outside of the shark has metal elements with graphics from rides past and present.
Over the past few days Thorpe Park have been hard at work installing a temporary flow ridder attraction on one side of the beach. The attraction is a paid extra at the cost of £15 per person for 1 hour.
At the end of last season there were strong rumours that Thorpe Park would be changing the entrance to the park and give it a makeover. No work had been done during the closed season however for the past few weeks the park has installed a mega screen at the front of the park.
Stars and fans of global phenomena Angry Birds flocked to THORPE PARK Resort this week to celebrate the opening of the Park’s brand new ANGRY BIRDS LAND.
Over the past few years Slammer at Thorpe Park has had its fair share of problems. With the ride being closed most of the season Slammer really is looking like a piece of history.
