On May 24th 2014 Alton Towers will open CBeebies Land new for 2014 a full retime of the story book area and the Old McDonalds Farm land.

Following last years problems with the Smiler not opening on time it looks like Merlin and Alton Towers don’t want to set a date on the new Cbeebies land opening.

The summer season is just starting to kick off and over at Alton Towers it looks like the park might be having problems with Oblivion and the rest of x sector.
The Smiler opening date
The news is finally out about the smilers open day. The ride will be opening from Thursday 23rd May 2013, advertising for the ride is due to kick start again very soon to match the youtube videos that seem to have started to of been uploaded to the official Alton Towers Youtube channel.
The Smiler ride cars unveiled
The Smiler was due to open in March but due to problems with the site and the weather everything got a bit behind schedule. However progress on the ride has now picked up pace and the cars for the ride have now arrived on site!
