On Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June 2015 Legoland Windsor Resort opened its doors to local residents for a public consultation on the future of the theme park. In the next few years the park plans to remove the Dino Safari attraction to be replaced with a Hotel Expansion.
It would appear that work on WC16 is about to step up another gear at Thorpe Park Resort. In the past week more yellow pegs have been added around the site and a large drill has moved back on site ready to drill the holes for foundations to be poured.
Today Alton Towers has reopened following The Smiler accident on Tuesday 2nd June 2015, the park was closed following health and safety officials inspecting rides across the park and trying to find out the reason behind the smiler cars crashing into each other.
Work on WC16 is progressing with a truck full of rebar spotted along the Nemesis Inferno maintenance road. New parking spaces have also been temporary marked out near where the shed from the blare witch project was.
Alton Towers is set to remain closed for a second day following the collision on The Smiler Ride at 2pm yesterday afternoon. The park was closed today and is set to be shut again tomorrow, 4th June 2015.
The Smiler at Alton Towers Resort has been involved in a major incident after one of the cars stopped mid course resulting in another car with 16 people on board to crash into the stationary vehicle.
Work is progressing nicely on WC16 with ground works fully underway. Sheets of metal are being put in the ground to prevent the shrouding ground form falling in.
Slammer at Thorpe Park has begun testing after being out of action for the first half of the theme park season. The ride is the only ride of its kind left in the world and we believe that the ride has under gone extensive work of the closed season and the past few months.
Tree Top Quest has officially opened to the public today, priced at £25 per person. Located next to the Stargazing Pods by the main drive into the resort its hard to miss!
Previously we had reported that Legoland Windsor where building a brand new ride for this year and today the ride was testing. Mia's Riding Adventure is a small Disco ride similar to the Kobra at Chessington but without the bump in the middle of the ride.
Work on WC16 Thorpe Park’s next addition is well underway with ground works in the arena started. The concrete floor in the area has started to be ripped up, in some sections of the small pit rebar can be seen.
